7 Pillars of Wellness

Manual Muscle Testing (MMT), professionally referred to as Applied Kinesiology (AK), is a non-invasive form of what is considered an alternative medicine therapy. AK evaluates structural, chemical, and mental aspects of one's overall wellbeing and assesses what either makes you strong or weak, helping get the root cause of underlying ailments and health imbalances. Liver Flush Recovery and how to move back into everyday life, looking and feeling amazing! It is imperative to start with the Liver Flush, part 1 and 2 to cleanse your liver. The Morning After a Liver Flush So the next morning, after having some tummy cramps and expelling many stool motions, you may see little green pea-like structures floating in the loo. These are the gallstones I mentioned that get expelled from your liver and gall bladder. Not everyone sees these so don’t get concerned if you don’t and either way your liver flush would have been successful. Your average weekly toxic load determines how many stones you expel. So the more alcohol, coffee, junk foods, medicines/drugs etc. you intake each week will determine how toxic your liver is. Liver Flush RECOVERY PLAN Eat Light Salads & Soups The Day After the Liver Cleanse Plan for full Liver Cleanse Recovery. I always clear my morning the next day till around noon, so I have time for

We at Rejuv Wellness treat a variety of high profile patients and help them navigate their wellness journeys, just like all patients who come to see us. Over the last few months, one of our patients (Dani Parkinson) has written a blog about her fertility journey thus far, and the information is so great I felt it would bless many if we share it. I treated Danielle and her fiancé Brian McFadden on a video call three months ago after being referred to me by another couple of clients you would know very well.  IVF, Fertility & Natural Conception Twelve years ago, my husband and I went through our fertility journey. We received advice that we would also need to do In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), but we didn't need to do it in the end as we now have three beautiful naturally conceived children. As a result of our fertility turnaround, I have treated many patients who have approached us to support them on

Over the last five years in our Rejuv Wellness Clinics, we've seen a spike in men's health conditions mainly driven by inflammation, stress and adrenal fatigue. When we assess your health, we always look at you holistically from all of our 7 Pillars of Wellness. The seven pillars include sleep, movement, body balance, nutrition, supplementation, mindfulness and environment.  In an ideal world, we'd all eat organic low-processed, high fibre and high nutrient-dense foods providing us with optimum vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and nutrients we need to thrive. However, this isn't always possible or realistic, leading to nutrient deficiencies and men's health problems as a consequence. Are You Low in Essential Vitamins and Minerals? Research reveals that men's health, even in developed nations, is affected by low values in the essential vitamins and minerals and add to this increased stress levels, then you have the perfect combination for poor health. Magnesium, iron, omega 3, amino acids, B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin D & vitamin

Your Immune System is impacted by your everyday environment and it is key to long term health and optimum wellness. Environment is the third of the Seven Pillars of Wellness and it is more important than ever during the current pandemic. We are all bombarded with toxins each day, either from our own poor lifestyle choices or from our environment. Did you know that your home has its unique microbiome? Often you may notice that households have a distinctive smell or feel this is all part of each home's microbiome. Not only is it key to reduce your toxic load from your environment and what you ingest, but it is also vital to boost your internal microbiome and the microbiome in your home. Your home microbiome comes from the cleaning products you use, the number of plants you have, if you have pets, if you spend time in the garden, if you wash all the dirt off your organic veggies

To balance your health can be tricky during this global pandemic. We all have to stay at home and move through substantial lifestyle changes. And most of us don’t do well with change so that it can trigger all sorts of emotions. Over the past month, I have treated many patients who are feeling overwhelmed. Many of them experience food and alcohol cravings, with their blood sugar levels out of balance due to increased stress.  Emotional eating is where we use food for purposes other than nourishment or satiation. It is when food is used as a coping mechanism to avoid emotions you don’t want to feel. We eat as a way to self-soothe, numb, fill a void or some sense of control or comfort. While being at home, we all have 24-hour access to our kitchens. This easy access can cause a real problem, looking for food to release boredom or as a break from our work/homeschooling or staying up

Regular movement and exercise is not only great for your heart but can also improve your immune system. Balance is the key, for too little or too much exercise can reduce your immune system, due to free radical damage. Exercise supports both the systemic (whole-body cellular) response and mucosal (mucous lining of the respiratory tract) response to an infectious virus. A published paper in 2019 study by Nieman and Wentz in NCBI revealed that regular exercise had an overall anti-inflammatory influence mediated through multiple pathways and created a surge in the circulation of innate immune cells, thus improving immune function. With many of us social distancing and working from home there are still lots of beneficial ways to exercise. Most countries you can still go for a bike ride, walk or jog, which we as a family find wonderful to prevent ‘cabin fever’. There are many online options too so choose your favourite movement or choose something online you have never done

The 7 Pillars of Wellness is my framework for moving you into full wellness and wellbeing. There are seven pillars of wellness and these pillars are crucial for you to have a healthy immune system. They need to be reviewed in order to remove your toxic load, rebuild your health and move you into restored health and wellness. We call this the Rejuv Triple R Principle.  THE REJUV TRIPLE R PRINCIPLE REMOVE the physical, emotional & environmental toxins that are making you unwell. REBUILD at a cellular level so all of your organs, muscles, bones and 11 body systems function in harmony allowing you to move into wellness and reach your goals. RESTORE the foundations of your health so you move into optimum wellness long term. OUR MAIN LINE OF DEFENCE AGAINST VIRUSES & PATHOGENS Our immune systems are our main line of defence against harmful pathogens in the environment around us. Infectious diseases are caused by pathogens, which include bacteria, fungi, protozoa, worms and viruses.

The sixth wellness pillar is body balance. Our skeletal and muscular systems are pivotal to our health. Like the scaffolding of a house, they need to be built on a solid surface and able to weather the storms of life. Your posture and skeletal systems also have to be in good order to allow enough space for your organs to work effectively, thus supporting your overall health and immune system. Therapies such as physiotherapy, osteopathy, acupuncture, reflexology and massage are key to keeping your physical ‘home’ in order. Having regular treatments like the above greatly improves circulation, facilitating maximum nutrition to the cells and allowing toxins to be removed. Working on your fascia – connective tissue beneath the skin - also permits emotional blocks trapped in our physical body to be released which are related to disease. Look back at the last three to six months. Do you feel your body is in good balance? Depending on your toxic load and whether
