The human body is made up of more than two-thirds of water, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. Water is therefore essential to living and hopefully, you’re consuming between 2-3 litres of water a day. If you are, then what else are you drinking? What is in your tap or water bottle and what microscopic nasties have hitched a ride on your H2O?
Unbeknown to many, our drinking water contains many contaminants. Some contaminants are not a problem at all, some are simply a nuisance, while other contaminants are genuine health hazards. Common contaminants in water include bacteria, inorganic compounds, heavy metals, volatile organics and semi-volatile organics. Since water is essential to good health, it is vital you check the quality of the water you not only drink but also bathe or shower in too. Many opt to drink bottled but that doesn’t protect you from various contaminants not to mention the out bleaching of plastic and hormones into the water, especially if that water bottle was exposed to heat before it was delivered. Our goal is for everyone to experience, clean/safe drinking water as part of our 7 Pillars of Wellness.
To have your water checked, simply contact us so you can send in samples of the water you drink and shower in and we can determine any adjustments that need to be made.
