Detox Poke Bowl Seasonal Cleanse

Detox Poke Bowl Recipe

This week’s recipe is a Detox Poke Bowl to support your seasonal cleanse. Many of you have been travelling, eating out more, and increasing parasite exposure.

It’s easy for your gut microbiome to get out of balance with the added treats and alcohol over the holidays, especially since such habits tend to increase candida and fungus overgrowth.

The goal is to finish your seasonal cleanse by November, so choose 30 days that will work for you. Set yourself up to win by avoiding a time with lots of parties and events. And for all my ladies, starting two weeks or more before your next period is best to get some good momentum before potentially feeling PMS symptoms.

Three Steps For Your Seasonal Cleanse & Detox

  1. Find 30 days that work for you
  2. Choose the Rejuv Pack & Protocol that best suits your goals (see the seasonal cleanse blog)
  3. Download our FREE Good Habits Guide so we can cheer you on each step of the way

I’ve created this detox poke bowl for you, which is easy, delicious, and packed with cleansing, high-vibe ingredients. You’re also boosting anti-parasitic foods by adding kimchi, sauerkraut, pumpkin seeds, garlic, lime and ginger.

The Detox Poke Bowl Recipe

This Detox Poke Bowl recipe serves two people.

  • Two medium beetroots grated
  • One cup of watercress
  • One handful of sprouts (alfalfa, mung bean or broccoli sprouts)
  • Two medium carrots sliced in thin julienne strips or thin shavings
  • 1 cup of broccoli rice
  • One sliced red onion
  • Two radishes
  • One avocado

Choose two bowls and put half of the ingredients into each one. Start with the broccoli rice as the base, and then place all of the other ingredients in a circle on top: grated beetroot, sprouts, carrot, watercress, onions, avocado & radishes.

You can also add fish to this recipe, and I prefer small wild fish for they have less heavy metals, such as seabass, sea brim or trout. It’s always key to add green leaves to any meal with fish, such as watercress in this recipe to mop up any heavy metals.

Garlic, Ginger & Sesame Detox Poke Bowl Dressing

Choose an empty jam jar, mix these ingredients & drizzle over the Detox Poke Bowl.

  • Two tablespoons soy sauce (I use Liquid aminos by Bragg as it is gluten-free)
  • Two tablespoons of toasted sesame oil
  • Two small garlic cloves, grated
  • ½ teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon Celtic sea salt

Garnish with sauerkraut or kimchi plus sesame, green pumpkin seeds, edamame and two wedges of lime per bowl.

Enjoy!
