Gut-Healing Papaya Smoothie

A Papaya Smoothie is great when you’re doing a gut reset and clearing out fungus, parasites and candida. A smoothie gives you the energy you need and it fits with the need to eat light to allow your body to flush out old faecal matter and toxic waste.


Eat lots of soups and vegetables, and drink herbal tea and at least three litres of Rejuv Wellness Water per day to support your gut reset.

I  usually incorporate intermittent fasting til 11 am (for adults) and have a smoothie as a brunch. In the afternoon, have a snack between 3-5 pm. I recommend an apple with 1-2 tsp of almond butter, a gluten-free Rejuv Muffin or 1 tbsp of hummus or guacamole with raw vegetables.

For dinner, I also keep it light with a vegetable stir fry or Zucchini Voodles or homemade chicken soup.

The Papaya Smoothie Recipe

Makes 1 smoothie. 

Ingredients Adult Papaya Smoothie

  • Pineapple – 1/4 cup
  • 10cm piece of fresh aloe vera
  • Papaya – 1/4 cup with seeds
  • Pumpkin seeds – 1/4 cup
  • 2 teaspoons of The Super Elixir Greens
  • 1 teaspoon of Welleco Vanilla Nourishing Protein
  • 1 teaspoon of Rejuv Digestive Complex Powder 
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • Coconut yoghurt (unsweetened) – 1 tablespoon
  • Coconut oil – 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder -1/2  teaspoon
  • Ice – 1/2 cup
  • Water – 2 cups

Ingredients Kids Papaya Smoothie

  • Pineapple – 1/4 cup
  • 5cm piece of fresh aloe vera
  • Papaya – 1/4 cup with seeds
  • Pumpkin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • 1 scoop of Welleco Super Elixir kids + Protein
  • 1 sachet of Kids Gut Support 
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • Coconut yoghurt (unsweetened) – 1 tablespoon
  • Ice – 1/2 cup
  • Water – 1 cup

Method

Blend until creamy and enjoy as a drink or have as a smoothie bowl.
